Happy Friday all! This Friday we are discussing Hallway Entry design and innovative ways to introduce natural lighting into these spaces. The first impression of a room is generally made at the entry, just before stepping into the space itself. We tend to associate the memory of a house or home with the first impression, therefore when designing the entry space we want to explore a welcoming and inviting feeling through material context and spatial planning. Usually a hallway entry tends to consist of natural lighting or brighter elements before entering a more contained space, by selecting materials which capture or hold light we are able to celebrate the need for natural lighting through transparency, large windows or doors, softer wall or ceiling tones, exposed beams and skylights. Introducing accessories and colourful furnishings can be an fun way to bring colour into the space and create a simplistic contrast between materials. Below are a few of our favorite Pins giving us the inspo we need for a fulfilling and satisfying hallway entry design!
