So while we all try and navigate though this unusual time, maybe some time at home with those closest to us to relax and recoup is exactly what we all need? Time to pick up a hobby, start a new book or tv series, finish those jobs around the house or just take some extra TLC to look after ourselves and our health?

THE MAIN BATHROOM
The existing bathroom spaces were outdated and in need of a fresh breath of life! All of the heavy build in elements such as the boxy tiled wall dividing the ensuite and the built in hob bathtub in the main bathroom really closed in the spaces. While the beige colour palette, strip mosaic and high gloss tiles dated the design and atmosphere of the spaces.
The clients of this property wanted the new bathroom’s to reflect the Mediterranean style they adored and sit seamlessly within the rest of the home. Desiring retreat like spaces which felt fresh, open and luxurious whilst injecting the character of the many beautiful European furniture and art pieces they own.
The overall layouts of the two bathrooms remained similar to the original, however the main bathroom was able to be enlarged by removing the separate w/c and incorporating this into the one space. This allowed us to create a generous walk in shower, and made room for a stunning Victoria & Albert free standing bathtub!

THE MASTER ENSUITE
One of the heros of the new design is definitely the unique tile combination! A stunning Moroccan clay mud floor tile paired with large format wall tiles in a grey tonal split. The floor tiles not only look beautiful with their varying detailed patterns but the textured finish makes for an incredibly high slip resistance which was a must have for these clients. The split in the tones of the wall tile add an extra dimension and frame the features within the space in such a lovely way.
The custom designed vanity units boast a detail and finish like no other! With the dark notched panel design, dark bronze hardware and capped feet the vanity really does have that ‘furniture’ feel. The design for the notched design in the joinery and the mirrored cabinet was in fact drawn from a Mediterranean furniture piece found by the Designer. This dark bronze finish in the handles was then mimicked in the tap wear, towel rails and robe hooks with a special organic finish from Brodware. All of these rich colours and details were then tied together with the granite bench top in a textured brushed finish.
