Who else is looking forward to the long weekend (or should we say weekends) coming up!
With the Easter long weekend only a matter of days away, we wanted to share some of our entertaining essentials to help you build a show stopping table setting. We’ve pieced together all the main elements you need to craft a fun creative set up for your festivities – just add food (and drinks…and chocolate!)
So if you’re looking for some inspiration for your family lunch, hot cross bun breakfast spread or your long weekend catch up drinks with friends – look no further!
The perfect table setting all starts with some beautiful linen! We’re big fans of a good quality table cloth, and love the variety of colourways that are available in the marketplace these days! We would totally opt for a warm toned colour block moment this long weekend – some blush tones to create the base of your palette, complimented with some pops of turmeric for the linen placemats. Layering up contrasting colours is one of our favourite ways to create an instant point of eye catching interest.
It’s safe to say cues from the past eras will ALWAYS be in ‘trend’ (yes we hate the word trend!), but it’s true! We’re lovers of all things vintage and love the ode it gives to the designers and makers of that age. So the Sabre Bistrot Cultlery Set from Jardan really does hit a spot for us! Made in France from high quality stainless steel with a smooth coloured handle that hints to the classic 70’s design. The beautiful Khaki Light handles will look fantastic paired with the terracotta and turmeric linen we have hand picked for this weekend.
Now, every table setting needs a hero piece! Creating visual dimension thought sculptural elements such as vases, fun cake stands, jugs, florals/foliage or sculptures. Our pick for this weekend is the stunning Wiggle Vase and Oval Scallop Vase in Tangerine Ice ceramic from Jardan. The tactile nature, soft hues and variation in height makes these oversized pieces the perfect feature for your table centre piece. Pair with a generous amount of natural foliage or leave empty for a more architectural look.
No brunch, lunch or dinner setting is complete without some special glassware. So move along clear glass, and hello fun tinted glass flutes, cups and jugs! We’ve got a crush on the whole Maison Balzac collection and have to hold back from buying every single colour. For this weekends festivities we are gravitating towards the Amber Champagne Flutes and Coucou Tall Glasses paired together with a few of the Coucou Carafes in Pink.
