We’re delighted to finally unveil our latest furnishing project – our South Bank Apartment project! Nestled in one of the liveliest streets of Brisbane, the apartment offers amazing city views and is true urban gem! As a busy surgeon, our client approached us to transform his new home into a sanctuary – a place he could recharge and unwind in comfort and style. We worked closely with him to create a home that perfectly blends sophistication and warmth, tailored to his personal taste. From plush furnishing to soft ambient lighting, every detail was carefully considered to create a cosy and inviting atmosphere.
Colour played an important role throughout this project! With a love of nature and travel, the client wanted to be surrounded by colours that enhanced and enriched his mood. Achieving the right balance between warmth and minimalism was crucial in designing the space. Spatial planning also played a pivotal role in this regard. To seamlessly integrate the buildings architecture with the interiors, we carefully selected pieces with soft curves and subtle details. The result is a fluid transition from the outside world to the cosy yet modern home.
The open planned living and dining is the hub of this apartment. We used this beautiful hand tufted rug by Tsar Carpets to ground and locate and living room space. We layered textures and materials to achieve a warm and inviting space without over crowding.
Adjoining the living room, the custom Breeze Dining Table by Ross Gardam became the perfect statement piece and conversation starter for when our client entertains with family. When styling the existing timber shelving, we made sure to include a variety of books and picture frames etc. that reflected our clients personal interests and to inject some personality into the space.
The spare 2 bedrooms were transformed into a guest bedroom and multi-functional space. We took the opportunity to enhance these smaller spaces with pops of colour, that still harmoniously complimented the rest of the apartment. We continued to carry through soft edges and forms throughout to soften the spaces and also improve functionality and egress within the spaces.
The primary bedroom took on major transformation to create a relaxed sanctuary for our client. The custom designed bedhead allowed for us to make a statement with this space yet that still stylistically suited the scale of the room. With ‘dark and moody’ as part of the brief for this space, we wrapped the walls in a textured wallpaper by Casamance, which became the perfect backdrop for the artwork and bedding to compliment.
Opening up to the balcony, we kept this space minimal for easy maintenance for our client. A variety of lounge and bar height seating was included to create a functional space for our client to enjoy throughout all times of the day.
