Colour Trends for Master Bedrooms

The master bedroom is arguably the most personal room in a home. Home owners have so much scope to imprint their personality on to the space and while shades of white will always top the list of classic bedroom palettes, bold colours are making their move.  Here are some of our favourite colour trends for master bedrooms.

SOFT PINKS

A sophisticated, restrained and refined colour trend, soft pinks work best as a soothing transition between patterns, textures and other textiles materials. Use it with grey and whites for an elegant scandi look or be bold with a lipstick pink feature wall.

MUSTARDS

Mustard shades can bring instant warmth to a room and some designers believe this yellow is here to stay. If you’re unsure, start with a mustard throw for a pop of colour in a neutral room.

OLIVE GREEN

Earthy and beautiful, olive green lends itself to pairings with natural shades and wooden textures.  While it is not quite a neutral shade itself, olive green can ground a space and enhance the relaxed vibes of the master.

TEAL

Dark teal adds instant luxury. It needs confidence but if you’ve got the guts, you’ll reap the rewards.  It is contemporary and sophisticated, yet calming.  Contrast with fresh whites and copper to really see the magic happen.
