Colour Trends

Interior design in the home is hinged on colour. The colours you choose can change the whole feel of a space and it’s important to choose timeless yet exciting hues that you enjoy being around. If you’re planning to renovate, the following are some great colours to inject into your home.

Pantone’s Colour of the Year – Marsala

Marsala

Full-bodied and elegant, Marsala is a deep, warm wine shade great on its own, or as a feature colour alongside other bold and neutral colours alike. The rich, earthy tone is great for accenting, as well as a base colour in the home, perfect in living spaces, bedrooms and the kitchen, offering versatility and balance.

Iced Coffee

Iced Coffee

This soft, transitional shade is perfect as a base colour in the home, offering a natural, earthy quality while also providing a touch of elegance with the underlying gold tones. A great foundation colour while also popular as a feature, this shade works well in any room and matches nicely with colours like Lilac Grey.

Green Flash

Green Flash

Bring a little life into the home with this fresh, experimental colour inspired by nature. A bright hue, the grassy green is ideal as a feature colour alongside soft neutrals. Bring some nature into your urban environment with Green Flash.

Peach Echo

Peach Echo

This sparkling salmon hue is just the thing for the coming summer season, inspiring a soft spring feel that is a great feature hue. Use it a little or a lot, Peach Echo is a balance between orange and pink that evokes warmth and playfulness in the home.

Lilac Grey

Lilac Grey

Neutrals don’t have to be boring! This cool grey boasts a hint of lilac for something a little unique. Perfectly matched with bright tones like Green Flash and rich jewel hues like Marsala, the grey is distinctive while still offering a great base to build from.

Our predictions for 2016

The trend towards vibrant colours matched with a rainbow of neutrals will continue next year, with a focus on getting in touch with nature while also connecting with a more futuristic vibe with clean colour schemes, cool grey tones and fresh floral hues.
